What electronics manufacturing services include
Electronics manufacturing services cover everything required to turn a finished design into shippable hardware. At Asad Enterprises that means procurement of components from authorised distributors, incoming inspection, solder paste printing, surface-mount (SMT) placement, reflow soldering, through-hole (THT) assembly, inspection, rework, programming, functional testing, conformal coating where required, final assembly into enclosures, labelling and packing.
Because all of these steps are managed under one roof, you avoid the delays and quality gaps that appear when a project is split between a board house, an assembler, a test lab and a packing vendor. Our production team plans the full flow, so material arrives on time and each stage is ready for the next.
Contract manufacturing for every stage of growth
Early-stage hardware companies need small batches with fast turnaround and engineering feedback. Established OEMs need stable, repeatable production with documented quality. We support both. Pilot runs of tens of units help you validate manufacturability and gather field feedback. Low and medium-volume runs suit industrial, medical and defence products where variety is high and volumes are moderate. Scheduled production programmes support consumer and IoT products that need regular, predictable supply.
Our engineers review every new product introduction (NPI) for design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT) before production starts. Small changes at this stage, such as footprint corrections, panelisation, fiducials or test point access, often remove weeks of rework later.
Component sourcing and supply chain management
Component availability decides whether a build ships on time. We manage BOM scrubbing, lifecycle checks, alternate part qualification and buffer stock planning for repeat customers. For obsolete or hard-to-find parts we search approved channels and propose drop-in alternatives that you approve before use.
Customers can choose turnkey sourcing, where we buy all materials, consigned builds, where you supply some or all parts, or a partial turnkey mix. Every reel and tray is logged so builds remain traceable to component lot.
Why choose an EMS partner in India
India has become a major destination for electronics manufacturing, supported by a deep engineering talent pool, competitive costs and growing component ecosystems. For overseas brands, working with an Indian EMS partner can diversify supply chains and reduce dependence on a single manufacturing region.
Pune sits at the centre of Maharashtra's automotive, industrial and engineering corridor, with strong logistics links to Mumbai port and international airports. For customers in India, local manufacturing shortens lead times and simplifies GST invoicing and logistics. For customers in the USA, UK, Europe and the UAE, we provide export documentation and ship by air or sea to your warehouse.
New product introduction (NPI) with an EMS partner
The move from engineering prototype to repeatable production is where many hardware products stall. Our NPI process brings design, purchasing, production and quality teams together before the first production build. We confirm that every part on the bill of materials can be bought in the required quantity, that the board can be panelised efficiently and that the assembly sequence is clear for operators.
A first article build is then produced and inspected against your drawings. You receive a short report covering placement, solder quality, polarity, mechanical fit and test results. Once you approve it, the build is released to production and the same documentation is used for every repeat order.
Cost drivers in electronics manufacturing
The price of an assembled board depends on several factors: component cost, board size and layer count, the number of unique parts, single or double-sided placement, the share of through-hole work, testing time and batch size. Components usually make up the largest share.
We help reduce cost without compromising reliability. Common measures include consolidating resistor and capacitor values, choosing packages that suit automated placement, replacing hand-soldered parts with surface-mount equivalents and ordering components in economical quantities across repeat builds.
Quality control across the build
Quality is checked at every stage rather than only at the end. Components are inspected on receipt. Solder paste printing and placement are checked on the first boards of every batch. Boards are inspected after reflow and after through-hole soldering, and any defects are reworked and re-inspected.
Functional testing confirms that each assembly works as designed. Results are recorded against batch and serial numbers so that any later issue can be traced back to its cause.
Working with international customers
Many of our EMS customers are outside India. We work in English, share progress through email, WhatsApp and video calls and send photos of first articles before shipment. Quotations can be provided in INR or USD, and we prepare commercial invoices, packing lists and other export documentation.
For customers who need a second source alongside an existing manufacturer, we can build to the same documentation and test procedures, giving supply chain resilience without redesign.
Industries that rely on our EMS service
Industrial automation companies use our EMS service for controllers and instruments. Medical device makers use it for monitoring and diagnostic electronics. Defence suppliers use it for instrumentation and rugged assemblies. Automotive and EV companies use it for control modules and harnesses. Consumer and IoT brands use it for connected devices and white label products.
Each sector brings different expectations. Industrial customers value robustness and long-term availability, medical customers need traceability and change control, and consumer brands focus on cost and consistency at volume. Our processes adapt to these needs while keeping the same core quality controls on every build.
Getting started
Send us your Gerber files, BOM and quantities. We review the design, check component availability and send a quotation with lead times. After approval and NDA, we order materials and schedule your first article build.
Most customers begin with a small first article or pilot batch so they can evaluate quality and communication before committing to larger volumes. Once the first build is approved, repeat orders follow the same documentation, which keeps lead times predictable and quality consistent from batch to batch.
Low-volume, high-mix production
Many of our EMS customers build several product variants in moderate quantities rather than one product in huge volumes. Our planning and setup processes are designed for this high-mix environment, so changeovers are efficient and small batches remain economical.
Shared components across products are identified and purchased together where possible, reducing cost and lead time across your range.
Engineering changes during production
Products evolve after launch. When you issue an engineering change, we review its impact on stock, work in progress and test procedures, agree an effective date and update documentation so every unit is built to the correct revision.
Clear change control prevents mixed builds and confusion in the field. Each change is given a revision reference, affected stock is identified and either reworked or used up as agreed, and test procedures are updated before the first unit at the new revision is built.
Packaging and logistics
Finished boards and units are packed to protect them in transit, with anti-static packaging for assemblies and cartons labelled with your part numbers, quantities and batch codes. We arrange domestic transport or export shipping as required.
For export orders we prepare commercial invoices, packing lists and any other documents your freight forwarder needs. For domestic orders we use reliable transport partners and share dispatch details so your receiving team knows exactly what is arriving and when.
