Custom component manufacturing
Some applications need components built to a specific form factor, rating or interface: sensor elements, small sub-assemblies, custom modules or application-specific boards supplied as components to larger systems. We design and manufacture these to your drawing or requirement, with consistent quality across batches.
Custom components are built to documented specifications and tested before supply. Batch records ensure consistency and traceability for every delivery.
Sourcing obsolete and hard-to-find parts
Long-lifecycle products in defence, industrial and medical markets often face component obsolescence. We search approved channels for remaining stock, propose form-fit-function alternatives and, where needed, redesign small portions of a board to remove dependency on unavailable parts.
Every alternative is reviewed for electrical, mechanical and reliability compatibility, and approved by you before use. This protects product performance while keeping production moving.
Supply planning and kitting
For repeat customers we plan component purchases against production forecasts, hold buffer stock of critical items and kit materials for each build. Kitting services are also available for customers who assemble in-house.
Forecast-based purchasing reduces lead times for repeat builds and protects against sudden shortages. Kits are checked against the BOM before release to production.
Dealing with component shortages
Global component shortages have shown how quickly a single unavailable part can stop production. We reduce this risk by checking lifecycle and availability during design, recommending parts with multiple sources and maintaining approved alternates for critical items.
When a shortage hits, we search authorised channels for stock, evaluate alternatives and, if required, propose small design changes to remove dependency on the constrained part. Any substitution is approved by you before use.
Counterfeit avoidance
Counterfeit components can cause field failures that damage your reputation. We purchase from authorised distributors and approved suppliers, inspect parts on receipt and keep supplier and lot records for traceability.
If a part must be sourced from outside authorised channels, we discuss the risk with you first and apply additional inspection and testing before use.
Last-time buys and long-term supply
When a manufacturer announces end-of-life for a component, a last-time buy can secure stock for the remaining life of your product. We help calculate quantities based on your forecast and can store stock for future builds.
Stored components are kept in suitable conditions and tracked so they remain fit for use when needed.
Custom parts and sub-assemblies
Beyond sourcing, we manufacture custom sub-assemblies such as sensor modules and small boards that become components within larger systems. These are built and tested to your specification and supplied in the packaging and quantities your production line needs.
Supplying sub-assemblies reduces the number of parts and suppliers you manage and simplifies your production line.
BOM health checks
A BOM health check reviews every part for lifecycle status, stock levels, lead time and number of sources. It highlights risks before they disrupt production and recommends actions such as alternates or buffer stock.
Regular health checks for products in production keep risk visible and allow planned action rather than emergency response.
Supporting long-life products
Products in defence, industrial and medical markets often stay in production for many years. We help plan component supply for the long term.
We maintain records of approved alternates and supply history so that future builds can continue even as the component market changes.
Kitting for in-house assembly
If you assemble in-house, we can prepare complete kits of components for each build, verified and labelled.
Kits can be packed in the order of assembly to speed up your line and reduce handling errors.
Getting started
Send your BOM or part list for a health check or sourcing quotation.
Include quantities, target dates and any approved manufacturers so we can provide accurate availability and pricing.
Alternate part qualification
When a part is unavailable, alternates are compared on electrical specification, package, temperature rating and reliability. Samples are tested in your product before the alternate is approved.
Approved alternates are recorded against the BOM so future builds can use them without repeating the qualification process.
Supply for repair and spares
We supply components for repair and spares programmes, including parts for older equipment.
Repair programmes often need small quantities of many different parts. We manage these orders efficiently to keep repairs moving.
Working with your purchasing team
Our team can work alongside your purchasing department, sharing availability information and recommendations.
Shared visibility of availability and lead times helps your team plan production and avoid surprises.
