ENGLISH MESSAGE SERVICE
HISTORY OF EMS
English Message Service (EMS) was started on 1st November 2008 by Mr. Asad Yaqub, a Spoken English teacher in Lahore, with the idea of promoting English language especially English vocabulary through SMS. Initially, there were only 200 members in EMS but, with the passage of time the members increased. As, this service was absolutely free of cost (as it is now), therefore, soon it became popular among English lovers. And the first 200 members promoted EMS very fast to their friends and relatives. As a result of this promotion, today, EMS has 80 thousand members from every corner of Pakistan, with the daily increase of about 250 new members per day. The EMS members come from almost every walk of life but, they have one thing in common and that is their desire to improve their English and groom their personalities to become effective citizen.
VISION
EMS is a unique service with a vision to promote English language, to develop communication and leadership skills in the youth of Pakistan.
MISSION STATEMENT
English Message Service (EMS) is a non-profit and non-political service to promote English language and to develop the potential in the youth of Pakistan. EMS also strives to enhance the knowledge and skill of the new generation through effective trainings, seminars, workshops and forums.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The purpose of English Message Service is to;
1. Promote English language across Pakistan
2. Train the talent of the youth through training and distance learning programs3. Provide a platform and environment to learn to speak English
